EMI Reduction in an Interleaved Buck Converter Through Spread Spectrum Frequency Modulation
Spread spectrum frequency modulation is applied in a high-frequency DC/DC power converter to reduce conducted EMI. A new modulation biasing technique is developed to further reduce EMI levels in converters equipped with hardware filters. In the lab, this biasing shows effective shaping of the EMI spectrum
Desıgn And Implementatıon Of An Fpga Based Brushless Dc Motor Controller
gerçekleme çalışmaları ile tasarım doğrulanmıştır.BLDC motors are preferred in defense industry, robotics and industrial applications due to
the requirement of higher torque and less maintenance. The high efficiency values is their
advantage but they have complicated drive requirements. FPGA based controllers provide
flexibility and enable the used to design complicated drives. An FPGA based BLDC motor
controller has been designed in this thesis. The design has incremental encoder for speed
calculation, Hall effect sensors for position determination and Hall effect based linear
current sensor for torque measurements. A surge stopper circuit is included in the design to
provide overvoltage, under voltage and overcurrent protection. Standard three-phase bridge
is used with snubber circuits. A four-layer printed circuit board (PCB) has been designed
to reduce the EMI/EMC. The size of the PCB is convenient for many applications. The
FPGA compares the data gathered from the sensors and the data received through the
communication protocol to generate PWM signals. PI control technique is used to control
the speed. VHDL is used as the language on Xilinx brand FPGA and the simulations have
been executed on ISIM simulation platform. Various hardware components have been used
in the controller to drive the motor. The design has been verified by simulation and

Control of a zero-voltage switching isolated series-resonant power circuit for direct 3-phase AC to DC conversion
A novel control method is presented for a fully zero-voltage switching series-resonant isolated 3-phaseAC to DC converter. The control is derived from first principles such as energy and charge conservation. The approach results in operation with a high power factor at the AC grid side and is beneficial in termsof EMI due to soft switching and low dv/dt across the switches even when extremely fast WBG devicessuch as SiC or GaN are used
Comparison of Hexagonal and Square Coils for Use in Wireless Charging of Electric Vehicle Battery
13th International Symposium on Electronics and Telecommunications (ISETC) -- NOV 08-09, 2018 -- Timisoara, ROMANIAYILDIRIZ, Emin/0000-0002-6003-6780;WOS: 000463031500027The interest in electric vehicles is increasing day by day due to the reduction of fossil fuel resources and the environmental pollution caused by the use of these resources. Increased attention to electrical vehicles has also led the way to search for more practical and reliable methods to use them. Wireless power transfer (WPT) is also receiving attention for several applications and it is viewed as the choice of battery charging systems for near future. In this study, the coupling coefficients of different coil structures with equal winding area are compared. Taking into consideration the obtained results, a 2.2 kW WPT system to charge has been designed with square and hexagonal coil and its Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulation has been carried out by using Maxwell Ansys. Simulation results show, hexagonal coil shape is less sensitive to misalignment conditions and is a good candidate for EV applications.Politehnica Univ Timisoara, IEEE, Assoc Elect Engineers Timisoara, Fac Elect Telecommunicat & Informat Technologies, IEEE Romanian Sect, Romanian Acad Tech Sci, AlfaTest, Continental, Honeywell, Noki
